Sarah's practice currently focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications including those related to chemical arts and medical devices. She also assists preparation of opinions regarding the patentability, validity, and infringement of United States patents as well as the procurement of trademark protection. She also serves as a support in the firm's litigation regarding patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. Prior to attending law school, Sarah worked as a research assistant in laboratory at BYU which focused on inorganic synthesis of cavitand-based polymers. Sarah won several awards for her research, including the Glenda L.M. Harr Undergraduate Research Award and Division Winner in the BYU Spring Research Conference. While in law school, Sarah was involved extensively with the Law Review, serving as an associate editor her second year, and on the Board of the Law Review as a Lead Notes and Comments Editor her third year. As a first year law student, Sarah was awarded the J. Reuben Clark Award for academic excellence, integrity, and service. Her third year she received the award for the highest grade in Trademark and Copyright Law. Because of her academic achievements, Sarah was also elected to the Order of the Coif.
