C. Todd Kinard

Todd has experience in complex patent, trademark and copyright litigation, domain name dispute resolution, as well as prosecution of patent and trademark applications. Prior to his legal career, he gained valuable experience in the fields of biotechnology and chemistry. As a graduate student at the University of Utah, his research focused on the HIV accessory protein VPR and its effects on cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. As a Research Associate at Myriad Genetics, he developed high-throughput protocols on robotic platforms and also aided in the discovery of a novel mutation in the BRCA1 gene found in persons of Spanish decent.
